Why it matters

AI writing tools are useful, and they can be misused. Used dishonestly, they lead to plagiarism, broken trust, damaged reputations and skills that never get built. So we want to be plain about what Textyy is for, and what it is not for: you should get the benefit of a good writing tool without the risks that come from using it the wrong way.

What Textyy does

Textyy makes text clearer and easier to read. It rewrites stiff, repetitive sentences and the stock phrases AI drafts are full of, and it adjusts the tone for academic, business and everyday writing.

It is especially helpful if English is not your first language: your sentences come out sounding natural without changing what you meant to say.

What it does not do

Textyy does not replace your own thinking. It does not do research, add facts or invent sources, and it does not write your work for you. It works only with the text you give it. It is not a way to plagiarise or to cheat, and it must not be used as one.

Good ways to use it

• Polish a draft so it reads clearly.
• Set the right tone for a work email or a report.
• Simplify text for slides or a presentation.
• Rewrite instructions so they are easier to follow.
• Turn an AI-assisted draft of your own ideas into natural, readable prose.

Uses we do not support

• Handing in rewritten text as your own original academic work where that is not allowed.
• Using Textyy to get around plagiarism checks or AI detectors.
• Presenting machine-generated writing as your own research.

We discourage plagiarism and cheating in any form, and our Terms of use let us close accounts used for them.

Your responsibility

You are accountable for how you use the tool. Textyy gives you a hand with the wording; you remain the author of your work, and that responsibility cannot be passed to a tool. Follow the rules of your school, employer or publisher, and when they ask you to disclose the use of AI, disclose it.

Our commitment

We built Textyy to help you write better, not to do your work for you. We are open about what it can and cannot do: we do not sell it as "undetectable", and we do not promise any detector score. Our message stays the same: use it to improve your writing, never to cheat or plagiarise.
